Who We Are
Founded by former Governor Jim Hunt during his time as an NC State student, the College Democrats at NC State have a rich legacy of student leadership and activism. Governor Hunt’s vision laid the foundation for a vibrant organization devoted to advancing Democratic values on campus in Raleigh and beyond.

Located just steps from the North Carolina Democratic Party Headquarters in Raleigh, our chapter has the unique opportunity to engage directly with local, state, and national politics. This proximity allows us to connect students with real-world political activism and professional experiences, empowering us to be effective advocates for the changes our state and country need.
